Sunday 14 December 2014

I created the base of my card from 2 A4 sheets of peach, pearlescent card stock and 1 A4 sheet of gold mirror card, embossed from the Glitter girls bookatrix embossing board and hand cut out.
I added gold border peel offs around the outside of the base sheet and embossed the centre sheet with a floral embossing folder, ran through my Bigshot.
Foam Pads added on the reverse of the pages to attach and add the layers, extra strong double sided tape down the centre to make sure it is held in place.

Train stamped image was coloured with Promarkers, for a couple who loves trains, I added some heart peel offs to add to the golden anniversary theme.

I printed off a verse from my computer and added some peel offs and glittered stickers to match the overall effect.

I cut the AND and the TH for the 50th out of the Grandfather peel off. ;)
Flowers were placed down the centre to finish off the golden anniversary card for the train and garden lovers.

♥ I hope Bill and Flossie had a wonderful 50th Anniversary and many more years together.

Baby Boy, Blue Buttons

Mixing a freebie from Dragon Lair Designs when they were previously The Stamping Dragon, crib and my favourite baby digi from Mo Manning, Spit Happens, I created the baby card below.

I couldn't decide if the white stars were too plain but wasn't sure on the blue glittered stars.
Which do you prefer?

Boy Blue

Prototype Boat Card

I created my prototype template using recycled kraft card, trying out new shapes.
Loving the different look, half and oval and a triangle, made the perfect boat base.
This was tested with the Lili of the Valley, Sailing Boat Stamp, Marianne's anchor and starfish dies, Hessian twine and a selection of papers.

I'll definately be trying out making my own card bases in the near future and trying out new shapes.

Bright Dinosaur

All of this was used to create the following card

Machines: Cricut Expressions and Big Shot
Tools: Clever cut mini and Hole Punch
Cartridges: Plantin School Book and Create a Critter
Card stock: A4 Card x5 Colours, 6x6 white card and envelope
Embossing Folder: Spots and Dots by Cuttlebug
Dies: Spellbinder Circle
Adhesives: Double sided tape, Tape pen and PVA Glue.

I adore bright coloured cards, so it was a delight to create a brightly coloured, personalised birthday card for Luca who was 3 years old and absolutely adores dinosaurs.
This was the first time using my Create a Critter cartridge with my Cricut and I can't wait to include some more of the adorable creatures onto my projects.

Sew Many Crafts

Congratulations to Dawn Hawkshaw, the winner of our latest giveaway, who received their prize and is currently enjoying it.

This new contrast sewing card, is last nights creation, first of many in a while. I was experimenting with something different, a patchwork style card, wasn't sure whether to add stitching so I played it safe.
6x6 Card with 1.8inch Squares cut from one of my favourite brands, First Edition paper pad called Boho Chic and another stunning paper pad, Summer Sweet, which I recently won from Craft Asylum. This gorgeous stamp is from Crafters Companion, Makey Bakey Mice Range which I spotted in a sale from Isobel Craft Collection, which I coloured with my Promarkers.
I embellished the rest of the card with some ribbon from my stash, LOTV Stamped sentiment, Papermania Chipboard Shapes and Liquid Pearls (Pastel Raspberry)

I've been trying to destash, as I love to participate in many crafts and have too much stuff, unused. I have lots to offer in an album HERE, if you see anything you like, feel free to make an offer (all priced) or ask any questions. Lots have already Sold, but removed the photos, so all should be still for sale unless otherwise stated.

Thanks for looking.
Thanks for stopping by.
Thank you for all your support.

Relax-ing Card and Bank Holiday

Papers
All pieces of card/paper was backed onto Crafters Companion Kraft card, the main backing paper is from the First edition Song Bird 6x6 pad and the striped paper is from a Make & Create range, from The Works, Vintage Style paperstack 6x6, with the brown border being the reverse of a patterned piece of paper from My Minds Eye, The sweetest thing, Tangerine 6x6 pad, as shown below, to create the border. (I was unsure which side I was going to be using when cutting it out but decided on the wooden effect reverse.)
Image
The image is a Crafter's Companion Rubber Stamp, from their Mulberry Wood Range, called Relax Everyday, this was stamped onto their Neenah Card, using an acrylic block, Stick and Spray and Black Momento Ink Pad, coloured in with Promarkers. I cut around the image by making a simple square using my Xcut guilotine, then around the edge I used a Burgandy Promarker pen, along with edging some of the other papers too.

Detail and Embellishments

I created the clouds by running a piece of white card through my Bigshot machine with the Darice, Clouds Background, embossing folder, and cutting them out with some decoupage scissors, these were then inked around the edges using a 'Tea Green' Promarker pen.
The grass was also created using the same white card and scissors but this time I freehand cut it.
For the sentiment, I just cut around one of the sentiments in the Lili of the Valley, Set 8, General Sentiments Art Pad.
To finish the card off, I just added two white card candi pieces in the bottom left corner.

I hope you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday Weekend, it feels really good to be crafting again and using different products and stamps to the usual ones, although we all have our favourites of course. I might have to invest in some cloud dies and some grass dies though, if I continue to use them, as it is time consuming cutting everything out individually, but then that is half the fun :)

Hannah Lynn Purple Beauty Butterfly

Hannah Lynn Digi Stamps are stamps I have always adored and admired, having said that it was only this week that I decided to purchase some, I'm not sure why it was so long, but WOW how I'm so glad I did!
The hair is something I need to work on, but they are beautiful to look at, colour and work with.

This card was created after bing given the instructions and task of a purple, pretty Mother's day card, that was to include butterflies.

I created this card by the following:
Papers
First editions, Dreamcatcher paper pack, 8x8 inch designs, white and silver foiled dreamcatcher design, I inked this with Tim Holtz, distress ink, Dusty Concord to create the cards background.
The edging detail of the backing paper and around the digi stamp has been inked using Me To You, soft grey fur, mini ink pad with Papermania, silver, embossing powder and heated/embossed with the heat gun.

Image
Printed out the Poinsettia Pixie Digi Stamp by Hannah Lynn Art & Design onto Crafter's Companion Neenah white card and coloured with my Promarker Pens (Sunkissed Pink, Blush, Crimson, Cyan, Arctic Blue, Amethyst, Orchid, Burnt Sienna and Tea Green.)

Sentiment
The sentiment was also printed out from my computer and coloured over with a Tea Green Promarker and backed onto some silver mirror card.

Embellishments
I used my Fiskars fabric scissors to cut my Purple ribbon by Celebrate and stuck down with double sided tape around the sides and under the hidden areas.
The butterflies were cut out of white card, using Tonic Studios, Butterfly Punch and coloured using the co-ordinating Promarkers.
The gems for the centre of the flowers and background embellishments were from Hobbycrafts, Homecraft, Mixed Crystal Acrylic Stones box selection and I used 10 of these, various sizes which were stuck on with PVA Glue.

Thanks for viewing.
Have a great weekend!

There is a competition over on my Facebook page, to win a Necklace and Earring set if you are interested too.
Best of Luck.

BeBunni Black, White and Red (Card and Candle)

Today was spent crafting with my sister, over at her house.
We have always wanted to try decorating candles with stamped images, but neither of us had tried.
Beings as her new stamps had arrived we decided it would be a good opportunity to give it a go.

I created a black and white card with a bright red, this was inspired by Lainie from the Docrafts forum. Which meant you had to include an animal, on a black and white project, with a slash of bright colour.
I adore the Bebunni stamps and this was my first time using them.

The card includes:
Papers
2 x Patterned papers from the First Edition, J'adore paper pack,
Crafter's Companion Promarker card,
Plain Black and Red cardstock.
Inks
Memento Black ink pad,
Black soot, Tim Holtz, distress inks.
Stamps3 x Stamps from Crafter's Companion, Bebunni Range, Perfect couple stamp set.
Embellishments
2 x Tiny red gems from Anita's gem wheel
3 x Red Heart buttons from my mum's stash (shh!)
Dies
The smallest die from the, Oval Multi Frame Die by Nellie Snellen
Detail
White, 1.0 Hybrid, medium, gel pen style pen for the faux stitching around the edge,
